Genesis 15:
God promised Abram for a child, not only that, He promised Abram that his offspring will be countless. Je also commanded how the offerings should be made. God prepared place in heaven for him.
Mattew 14:
Herod thought Jesus was John the Baptist. Herod killed John the Baptist.
After Jesus came back from the montains to remember John the Baptist, He saw a large corwd of people. He felt compassion and healed their sick. When it got late, Jesus fed the crowd of five thousand people, with 5 loafs of bread and 2 fish.
After they had finished with the five thousand people, Jesus had His disciples go to the boat, and He dismissed the people. By the time He finished, it was really late, and the boat was a distnace away from the shore because of the wind. So Jesus walked on the lake to catch the boat, and when Peter saw him, he asked for the same power. However, as soon as he got onto the water, he started doubting, and started sinking. Jesus saved him but was angry at his little faith. When they got to the other side, people heard Him and came from all around and He healed many.

Genesis 14:
A lot of kings around the area where Abram and Lot were went to war against each other. There were 4 kings against 5, Sodom, where Lot lived, was one of the rebellious ones. However, the king of Sodom fled, and the other army took all the possession in the city, including Lot's, they also took Lot and his family. When Abram heard this, He ordered his 318 people from his household to rescue Lot. When Lot was out, the king of Sodom came and offered him some things, but Abram only took for his people what they deserved, he didn't take anything for himself. Therefore, king of Sodom couldn't say that he made Abram rich.
Matthew 13:
Jesus presented many parables. Here is the one with the sower.
the seeds that fell along the path=the ones who hears but do not understand, the evil comes and snatches it away
the seeds fell on the rocky places=people who receive but do not follow up
the seeds fell among thorns=people who receive but got chocked by other life obligations when growing
the seeds fell on the good soil=people who receive and understand.
Parable with the weeds
the kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good wheat in the field, but the enemy went and sowed weeds. He let both grow, but when harvest time comes (judgement day) he would take the weeds out and burn them.
The kingdom of heaven will grow strong and spread.
The kingdom of heaven deserves everything, and is greater than any joy we can find and any possession we own.
The kingdom of heaven was like a net that catches fish, it catches all kinds of fish, but the fishermen only took the good ones, and left all the bad.
People from Jesus's home town rejected Him, because they lacked faith.

This is how much I love God
So I thought I was veing holy and spiritual for reading His words. But earlier today I just remembered that I didn't read the bible yesterday. I just simply forgot. I forgot my daily bread, the very food that I need for my spiritual growth. I thought I wasn't hungry, and what's worse, when I realize this afternoon, I didn't do it either. I had time, I didn't do it. I put it back, and not till I got back right now did I realized how broken I am, and how much I need His words. I am such a wicked person! But God is faithful, when I come back He gave me the desire to read his words, and realize all these, and I shouldn't be sad or angry right now, because that's exactly what satan want from me. I am not giving it to him, not a single bit. K, back to bible reading. oh, and I think I dreamt about this scene. wow. deja vu!

Cold Evangelism
Today, Joe and I went and cold evangelized to people. It was my first time doing this and it's so exciting. God was definately opening doors for us. The two people that we evangelized to was very interested. One will come out on friday, sunday, and to the sunday picnic. This is so cool. Her name is Yulan, she turns out to be in the english class that I dropped out of. The other person was a law student, he was going to leave town till august, but he was interested and wanted to come and visit once he comes back. Afterwards, he even took me and looked around the law quad, and he took me into the part of the library where normal people couldn't get it to. I was really excited that he was willing to open up himself. God is definately sooooo good!! I here lift them up in prayer that God will look over them, and bless them, and draw them closer to Him. Amen!

Genesis 9:
God told Noah to eat everything on earth except those that still had their lifeblood in them. He also commanded Noah that no one could kill another man, for men were made in the image of God. He promised Noah that He would never have such big wrath on human, and He made the rainbow as a sign, and remembered it.
One day, when Noah was drunk he fell asleep naked in his tent, and Ham, the youngest son went in and saw his father naked, and told his brothers. The brothers did the right thing--went in backwards, and covered their father. When Noah found out, he cursed Canaan, Ham's son that he will be the slaves and servants of Shem and Japheth. He also blessed Shem and Japheth.
He lived 950 years total.
Matthew 9:
Jesus went across the river and first healed a paralytic, the teachers of law said that He is blaspheming. However, that man really got up and left. so people praised God.
Jesus called out Matthew, a tax collector, to follow Him.
Jesus answered about fasting--the old and the new cannot stay together.
When Jesus was going to the dead girl's place, on the way, a bleeding woman touched him with faith, so she was saved. When Jesus went to the girl's house, He saved her as well.
Afterwards, Jesus went out, and a blind man with faith went to him, and asked for forgiveness, and Jesus healed. However, Jesus ordered him not to tell anyone, but he did it anyways. Afterwards, He also saved a mute person. However after all these miracles, the Pharisees still thought He was from demon.
People need the Lord, however, Harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

God made water come down for 40 days, but He remembered Noah and his family, in ther next 150 days, the water receded steadily, and by the end, waterlevel had gone down. The ark got stuck in the Moutain of Ararat (Ararat is in Turkey). Jesus also calm the storm when they were on the boat when all the disciples were freaking out.
Jesus healed the two Demon-possed men, and the demons were casted into the pig herd, and the pigs died. The town asked Jesus to leave.

Like doing things for people, do not prayer in public for the purpose of others hearing you. But pray in secret, so the Father may come to you and be intimate with you.
Store up treasures in Heaven. Where your treasure is, there is your heart also. and keep your eyes cleans for they are the reflection of your inner self.
God says don't worry, because if you (33)Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. these things--cloth, food, money....

I can see again
So for the past two weeks, I was in this darkness. I went to church like I was a zomby--didn't prepare my heart, and was numb to the teachings. When I was by myself, I always felt so bad, because I felt distant from Him. However, I know I cannot blame Him, because it's I who chose to block Him out. I can see myself building up a wall to block him, and every sigle brick that I put up was a sin that I committed. I felt bad, wanted to stop, but the wall kept getting higher and higher. I didn't have lifegroup to go to, didn't have LCG to keep me accountable, didn't have prayer gathering, moved to an apartment, where I can easily isolate myself. However, God said, Jean, you should rely on these to come to me. and look what has happen when all these are not there--you fell. You should come to me even by yourself. So this past Sunday, He gave me a sermon on intimacy. It broke me into pieces. I could see Jesus on the cross with all the newly whipped scars, because every time I sinned, I whipped him once. Then I just coulnd't handle that anymore, and He helped me break the wall and now I feel all free again.
I was walking in the darkness, and I thought God didn't want me anymore. However, I was just like the oschurch who put its head into the sand, thinking that no one could find it. However, God's light shone everywhere. All my sins were laid out in His light, they were taken away. But I, being in the sand, didn't know, and was still mounful about what I had done, and ignored that He loved me so much that I could freely come to Him and confess. I block Him, and block the many chances I could become intimate with Him. However, He finds different ways to tell me the truth, so that I could go back to Him again.
So praise the Lord, I can see again.

He came to fulfill the laws and prophecies. We need to teach others to follow the law with the right heart, and then, we can meet Him in heaven.
Do not murder, or else judgement will come upon us. But if we become angry at others, same thing will happen, because they are the same. Make appologies quickly, or else the consequence can be unaffordable.
Do not commit adultery, and amputate the body parts that cause you to sin readically, so that you may go in to heaven.
Divorce needs certificate.
Do not swear but just do what you say
Do not turn against people, and give freely.
Love your neighbors and pray for your enemies, bucause God first loved us, and He is just. Be like Him.

Genesis 3
Man has fallen. So the serpent told the woman the fruit they could become like God after they eat the fruit, the woman ate it, and gave some to her husband. They found out they were naked, so they sewed fig leaves to cover themselves, and when God came, they hid. after they came out, God asked Adam how he knew he was naked. Adam blamed the woman saying she had him eat it, and the woman blamed the serpent. Therefore, God cursed all of them:
Serpent: walk on the belly, eat dirt, the least of all livestocks
Woman: childbirth pain, being ruled over man, enemy with serpent.
Man: needed to work hard or food, and thorns and thistes might come out for you. It will be a hardworking process.
They man and woman are also chased out of the Garden of Eden, and the tree of life was guarded.

John the Baptist was baptising people in the Jordan river. Jesus came to be baptised by him, but he wouldn't baptise Him. However, Jesus sait that it's "to fulfill all righteousness." So John baptised him. afterwards, heaven opened and the spirit of God descneded like a dove and said Jesus is his son, and He is well pleased by Him. Whoever was there heard it.

5.18.09 Gn2, Mt2
Genesis 2:
So God created the world, and on the seventh day, He blessed the day and made it holy, because He rested on that day.
God created man before the vegetation grew, and blew breath into his nostrils. He planted the Garden of Edon, and placed the man in there. The four rivers ran out of Edon. God had him name and take care of the creatures in the Garden of Eden. The man could eat all the plants and vegetations except for the fruits from the tree of knowlege and evil, or else, the man will die.
He saw the man was lonely, so He put him to sleep and made a helper for the man out of the man's rib. The man called the helper woman. They were both naked and felt no shame.
Matthew 2:
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, Magi went to ask King Herod where Jesus was. King Herod had them go out and find Jesus, so that he could worship Him, however, he secretly wanted to kill Him. the Magi found Jesus, and presented the gifts, but did not go back. At the same time, angels warned Joseph to take Jesus and Mary to Egypt. Herod was so angry that he killed all the babies similar age in bethlehem. They waited there until Herod was dead. They went back to Israel, but in fear of Herod's son, they stayed in Galilee, and then lived in Nazareth.

Really?
I cannot believe how messy the person we took over the apartment from is, and how someone can live in that condition for a year. My friend and I spent 2 hours cleaning up the kitchen area, and my cousin helped me clean the fridge and it took her a whole hour, and half a jar of Clorox. What the Heck?
Those are just little things, the thing that really through me off is that she took a set of keys away with her. I mean... she's not living there any more. She's supposed to be out on by thursday, but she wasn't out till Saturday. I don't mind her staying there and pack up, but when you leave, can you at least give me back the keys? And please respect what others did. I mean... I cleaned the kitchen area, and within two hours, a lot of stuff was put all over the counter I jsut organized, and she ate ramen and dumped the left over into the sink. The soup went through the filter, but not the left over noodle. I should've asked her to clean it up. I didn't, and that was a big mistake, cuz when Pei-Ting's Jessie moved in, that person ate ramen again (and this was on Saturday), and dumped the noodles in the sink, and clogged it. Jessie grabbed a handful of ramen up from the sink. How gross is that?!!!
I don't like to remember those things, I don't want to vent about those, but I just cannot stand it. I am not a neat-freak, I can stand messiness, I just cannot stand dirtiness, it's disgusting! I don't know how can she even stand herself! What should I do? I called her up and wanted to yell at her, but she didn't pick up. I guess that's a good thing, cuz God is trying to prevent me from sinning even more.
I thought I was patient, but here God showed me my soft spot. I have to practice to not sin when these kind of things happen. Help me!!!
